“Patients’ Aid Premier Cricket League” A Fundraiser for Free Head & Neck Surgeries at JPMC, Karachi

Imagine being told after an accident that your life can be saved, but only if you can afford surgery!

That’s the devastating truth thousands of Pakistanis face every single day. Not because their injury is untreatable, but because treatment is simply unaffordable. And with every passing day, many dreams slip away, dreams to live, to grow, to build a future. But when healthcare is a luxury, dreams become casualties.

From remote villages in Sindh & Balochistan and beyond to crowded slums in Karachi, too many people suffer in silence, because free, quality healthcare in Pakistan still isn’t guaranteed to all.

At the Patients’ Aid Foundation, we believe every human deserves healthcare and it’s certainly not a luxury reserved for the few. Every patient who walks through the doors of Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) deserves a fighting chance, regardless of income, background, or geography. Patients’ Aid has revolutionised JPMC, the public healthcare facility, into a tertiary hospital with modern infrastructure, state of the art machinery and trained workforce.

Patients’ Aid has been conducting fundraising events to support healthcare expenses for the most vulnerable segments of our community. Earlier this year, Patients’ Aid’s fundraising Golf Tournament held in February 2025 raised crucial funds for underprivileged cancer patients coming to JPMC for treatment. 

This time, we’re taking that mission to the pitch, with a game that lives in every Pakistani’s soul: CRICKET.

Introducing Patients’ Aid Premier Cricket League 2025

This July, we’re launching our biggest and boldest campaign yet: the Patients’ Aid Premier Cricket League,  a one-of-a-kind cricket charity event in Karachi where every run scored fuels hope, and every boundary brings us closer to providing life saving Head & Neck surgeries of Accident patients. It is not just a match. It’s Karachi kay Dost Jinnah kay saath

On July 19, 2025, Patients’ Aid will make history by organizing its very first Cricket Premier League, at DHA Sports Club, Moin Khan Academy. This initiative is not just about sports; it’s about channeling the energy, love, and unity of Pakistan’s favorite game into a greater cause, accessible and free healthcare for all. By bringing cricket and compassion together, this event will serve as a powerful platform for corporates and institutions to fulfill their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) while contributing directly to saving lives.

The Reality Behind the Cause!

Each day 2000 Accident & Emergency patients visit JPMC mostly young men with life threatening head & neck injuries requiring surgeries. Also, more than 12,000 patients from Karachi, interior Sind Balochistan and beyond travel to Jinnah Hospital Karachi in hope of receiving FREE quality treatment because they can barely afford the travel expense. These include Accident patients, cancer patients and others, children and elderly, unfortunately unable to pay for private care.

At the Patients’ Aid, we are committed to ensuring that no one visiting JPMC is denied quality treatment because of financial hardship. Every rupee raised through such events is used to support patients who come to JPMC seeking care. Whether it’s providing medications, diagnostic tests, childbirth deliveries, surgeries, or cancer therapies, the aim is to cover it all, especially for those who have no one else to turn to.

Our last fundraising campaign, the Golf Tournament in February 2025, was a major success, and all proceeds went toward the treatment of cancer patients. Now, we are returning with an even bigger initiative, powered by the passion of cricket and the purpose of healing.
